Welcome to the website of the Polish American Pulaski Association, Inc. in sunny Holiday, Florida. The club was founded in 1978. The club offers bingo on Mondays at 11 am and Tuesdays at 5 pm. Sunday dinners are served from 1:30 pm to 3 pm (no Sunday dinners during June, July & August) followed by dancing to top Polish/American bands until 6 pm. Friday dinners are held year-round from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm followed by American-style dancing until 8:30 pm. Also appearing at the club are some of the top polka bands from around the country. Special events are held regularly on Saturdays and the hall is available for rentals. You do not have to be of Polish descent to join our fine club. I encourage you to browse our website and see for yourself our fine facilities and activities.
Tickets for all Dinner Shows are available at the Club on Fridays after 4 pm or Sundays after 1 pm. There are NO REFUNDS on Show Tickets; you will need to find a friend to give your ticket to if you cannot attend after buying a ticket.
Additional DINNER SHOWS coming in 2016...stay tuned...
For ALL Dinner Shows - Remember RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED! NO Tickets Will Be Sold At The Door!
Welcome back to all our members that return north for the summer. As of now though, summer here has not ended. As has been the case in the past, parts of our building, now almost 38 years old have needed constant attention. In the last 8 years many improvements were made: all new toilets, handicap height and use very little water, the parking lot and a few years ago a resealing of the main roof along with so many other improvements.
Now, we have learned that the roof over the lobby, an addition to the building some years ago, must be replaced, not resealed but replaced completely. We have obtained the service of a certified roof contractor who will work with a couple of our members to accomplish this huge task.
The cost of this will be a little over $8,000! A special fund has been set up for this as although we have a small reserve fund, the Board does not deem it correct to deplete this account. As of this bulletin $5,500 has been raised through member donations. We, the Board, appeal to all our members, all 604, to help us reach our goal by sending in your tax deductible donation today.
Our main coffee pot finally went kaput. We have taken out the whole system as it not only stopped working but developed leaks in the piping. We have replaced it with new 100 cup units which will continue to give fresh tasty coffee. This cost was a little over $350. Now, be mindful that a plumber was needed as there was no shut off valve for the water that supplied the old system.
There have been some changes to the "Up North Bands" this season and I implore you all to read "Up North Bands" for all the information. Because of the demise of the Vero Beach club, bands cannot rely on the necessary work to make the trip down. Mollie "B" will be here and again, the info is elsewhere on the website.
Our Friday nights have been good throughout the summer and after 5 years with no increase in admitting prices, it is now necessary to do just that. As of the first Friday in January, the cost for members will be $12 and non-members $15. This will be the same as a Sunday. Bar prices will stay the same. Now, before someone starts moaning, I ask: where can you go for dinner (including a great salad bar), entertainment and very reasonable bar prices for that amount of money? Remember, we are not open 7 days a week.
1st VP Dave has secured a great Christmas Show (info is elsewhere on the website) and the success of this show will determine if we sponsor any other shows this season. New Years Eve will again be celebrated and the cost will remain as last year. Members: $40 and non-members $50. Tickets will be on sale Friday, November 20th (also by calling 1st VP Dave).
As we get into the heart of the season, I ask all members to attend as many functions as possible and bring your friends and family. Last but not least, dues are now payable and that too remains steady at $20 per individual or $35 per couple. You may pay at the club or send them into the club marked "membership" and your new card will be returned to you.
